Student: This is a nice enclosure to house an MP3 collection to transfer music!

The USB2 has the advantage of being compatible with most computers and even backward compatible with older USB1.1. I just tested mine on an old computer with USB1.1 and Win98 and it still works reliably albeit much slower (around one MByte per second transfer).

Business Owner: I own a small business and find this portable Hard Disk Drive very convenient in backing up my business computer. As well as the comfort and ease of mind of having a copy of important business information, I have all information with me at home in case I need reference. Recently I purchased a second one, so now I back up alternatively and always have one at home. My business information is now secure against fire in the business premises, against theft of the business computer. In addition I have a copy of my business information at home in case I need to reference something over the weekend.

Overall this is a brilliant backup system.and well worth the money!
